Fat tissues are retained ten years after fat grafting of the breast

Autologous fat grafting for breast augmentation at the Young Clinic shows an average of 80% or higher survival rate of transplanted fat grafts.
All patients who underwent fat grafting for breast augmentation 3 or 7 years ago have maintained them well without change in the size of breast. Once the volume of the breast, augmented with fat grafting, has been maintained for six months or more, the breast size will largely be maintained through the rest of a patient’s life.
The Young Clinic is in pursuit of fat grafting, with which the breast will not reduce for ten years or more. This may be verified by reviewing pictures taken before and after the procedure.
A 32-year old woman underwent stem cell fat grafting and breast augmentation by fat grafts obtained from her thigh. This is a picture one year after the procedure.
1,800 cc of fat cells were suctioned from the entire thigh. 200 cc of fat grafts were transplanted to her left and right breast each. This transplantation was performed in both first and second attempts of breast augmentation. Her breast size changed from AA cup to C cup.
The breast may be augmented to the desired size in two attempts of surgery. Overall, thin women may also be candidate for Harvest-Jet 2 fat grafting for breast augmentation. Based on the clinical experience at the Young Clinic, completed breast, six months after breast augmentation, did not show fat reduction and the breast will continuously be maintained in the absence of abrupt weight change.
Stem cells transplanted with fat cells stimulate vascular formation, stimulate cell growth by secreting growth factors, and increase the survival rate of fat cells by inducing tissue regeneration. Stem cells minimize adverse reactions, such as fat necrosis (fat lumping), granuloma formation or calcification. With a high survival rate of fat grafts, their effect is excellent with only one session. Edema is less and recovery is fast. Thus, patients are able to carry on their daily lives from day of surgery.
The possibility of fat necrosis is less even in cases of large volume fat grafting. Since a large amount of fat cells must be suctioned from the thigh, the slim effect of the thigh is also high. This method is advantageous for the body type with largely obese lower extremities.
On the other hand, in the cases where a patient desires the implant to be remained, transplanting fat grafts in the vicinities of the prosthesis may hide it naturally.
